Topic: Coronavirus: Facts and Fears


Description: This Wednesday, March 25, at 1:30 PM, Berkeley Public Health Dean Michael C. Lu will host a 90-minute virtual Q & A on the Coronavirus: Facts and Fears. Joined by health experts, Dr. Anna Harte (Medical Director of University Health Services), Dr. Nicholas Jewell (Professor of Biostatistics at Berkeley Public Health), Dr. Arthur Reingold (Professor, Division Head of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Berkeley Public Health), Dr. Lee Riley (Professor, Chair of Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology at Berkeley Public Health), and Dr. John Swartzberg (Clinical Professor, Emeritus at Berkeley Public Health and Chair of UC Berkeley Health & Wellness Publications), the discussion will focus on illuminating the facts and dispelling the fears around the current crisis. Attention Bridge Association of REALTORS® members: 


The government affairs staff from each of the San Francisco Bay Area local REALTOR® associations have prepared a status report for each of the county clerk-recorders.  This information is provided as a courtesy for real estate professionals in transactions throughout the Bay Area.  We’ll be updating it on a regular basis.  Please reach out to your local government affairs staff if you need anything.


Showing Information: Not Allowed in Remarks

In support of the statewide Shelter in Place, effective immediately, CCAR, Bay East, and bridgeMLS Showings must conform to the strictest limitations imposed by government entities for the jurisdiction within which the property is located. Showing must only occur virtually or, if a virtual viewing is not feasible, by appointment (Vacant Properties only) with no more than two visitors at a time residing within the same household or living unit and one individual showing the unit (except that in person visits are not allowed when the property is being lived in).


Members are permitted to add “Shown By Appointment” (Vacant Properties only) only in the confidential remarks. All other showing instructions are not allowed in the MLS and will be removed. Per the guidelines, showings are to be by appointment with no more than two visitors and one individual showing the unit.


Members are allowed to enter a branded, unbranded virtual tour or live stream open house links in the public remarks.
